Petra Aroma believes in the unity of all living things, inspiring a profound connection to plants, a commitment to care for the world around us, and a deeper understanding of life’s true purpose.
From the heart of Borikén, we harvest the herbs gifted by mother nature along with the knowledge passed down by our indigenous ancestors, to produce unique blends that allow you to embrace self-care. With every drop, breathe deeply, feel fully, and welcome a personalized healing.

our ancestor abuela Petra
Abuela Petra holds a sacred place in my heart and in the roots of Petra Aroma. She carried a deep love for plant medicine and the spiritual power of baños, knowing the energy and healing that our Caribbean plants embody. Yet, in her time, she could not practice openly—our traditions were often dismissed, mislabeled as superstition, carrying a heavy stigma.
Her legacy is my compass and her spirit guides me to continue this medicine with pride, to honor the wisdom she carried in silence, and to share it freely so that our people may reclaim their roots. Through Petra Aroma, she lives on as my greatest spiritual guide and the heart of this work.
a letter from our founder
Hi everyone. I’m so glad you’re here. Hahom (thank you) for your interest in Petra Aroma, a space dedicated to empowering your wellness journey for the mind, body, and spirit. With my background as a doctor of pharmacy and now an herbalist, moving to Borikén (Puerto Rico) deepened my understanding of plant medicine and its vital role in our lives. Petra Aroma helps you reconnect with nature through natural products and soothing aromas, inspired by my grandmother Petra and my life in the motherland.
Rematriating to Borikén from New Jersey wasn’t easy, but it led me to a vibrant community, my Taíno yukayeke in Jayuya, and a profound connection to my roots.
Here, you can explore herbal medicine, with a focus on Caribbean plant wisdom, learn indigenous values, or join us for community events. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Taino Ti (peace be with you),
Dr. Daniella Olan Torres
